There are many great
agencies to choose from when seeking professional advice for travel, but only a
few possess a true passion for Hawaii. Over the years the team as
SaveOnAloha have developed solid relationships with many of the suppliers here
in the islands. They are an incredible resource for those seeking advice
for travel to Hawaii because of their first-hand experience with our resorts and
the relationships they built with the people who work here.
They always go the extra mile to
take care of their guests and will call me to submit and to follow up on any
special requests they have for their guests. In Hawai’i we consider this
the true meaning of “Ho’okipa” or Hospitality.

Many travel companies don't take the time to develop relationships
with their suppliers. It's a big world out there and SaveOnAloha
realizes the value in not only establishing a relationship but
doing what it takes to maintain a good one. The real benefit is to their
clients. We know SaveOnAloha, they know us and we work
together to create a great experience for their client.

In terms of your agency, all I can say is WOW. So responsive, easy
to work with, and truly excited about OUR product. Getting our name out
there as a brand new hotel is not an easy task, and people like Cathy and Jenifer are helpful and
recognize what we have to offer. I think the vendor/agent relationship is
one that is not always easy, but knowing that we appreciate each other and are
willing to both work together to satisfy the same goal is a really big positive
for our guests.

Purchasing travel has some risk involved. Namely once you've used it, it's gone.
You can't return it like a sweater. Now
you can reduce your risk by purchasing name brands, Holiday Inn, Marriott,
Outrigger Hotels, Globus Hawaii Tours, etc. But that's no guarantee your trip
will meet your expectations. Did you know the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Kapalua on
Maui, has an ocean view room at $549 that is not on the ocean, or the Four
Seasons Hotel has a partial ocean view room at $551 a night that you need
binoculars to see the ocean? The Hyatt on Waikiki beach is not on the beach. You
have to cross busy Kalakaua Ave. It is very important to note that many top of
the line hotels have badly located rooms. A garden, terrace, or supersaver room
can mean an ugly parking lot view at some resorts. And you can't go by photos,
or
EXPEDIA.COM as anyone who has looked at a
real estate multiple listing book knows. Somehow they don't include the 7/11
store next to the property in the photo.
Why would you trust someone to advise
you to spend your money at a place he/she has never seen? Or book
directly over the internet based on pictures? We know of a hotel across from
Waikiki Beach offering a very attractive rate. When you read the description on
the web it tells you the hotel has been renovated. Well the very attractive
price is in their non-renovated tower wing. The rooms have no balconies, are the
size of cruise ship cabins and haven't been touched in 20 years. The mildew
aroma is no extra charge. When your jaw drops who are you going to
call?
Doesn't it make sense to talk to someone who knows the
territory?
Be careful out there when researching your travel plans. Don't
be afraid to state your economics. There are reputable tours, cruises, and
packages at all price levels. Be a smart consumer and ask to have the
differences explained. What's the difference between a European tour by Globus
or Cosmos? A cruise by Carnival or Princess? A Hawaiian Package by Pleasant
Hawaiian or Classic Vacations?
In a country that has 50 kinds of catfood,
there are lots of choices out there in every commodity. And we would like to
dispel a myth that you can get a better deal from a big chain like American
Express or AAA. Well we're going to clue you in. The big travel companies direct
their business to select suppliers (we can sell those same suppliers at
identical prices-they just get a higher commission because of their volume).
What does that mean for you? You just may not be shown something more suitable
for you. Some tour operators, for example, do the same stuff every year, others
change their product based on customer feedback. Why not ask someone
who'se been there? It doesn't cost any more.
